This is a tale of two lakes. Intertwined lakes, in Barry County, Michigan. Where somehow the water has gone away. Upper and Lower Crooked Lakes, both near and dear to me, are suffering from the lowest water levels I've seen in the 35+ years I've been fishing them.

I got a letter in the mail yesterday from SPI explaining the situation.  I was pleased they sent out a letter explaining a few things.  It sound like they might try and keep a tour going.  The bad thing I noticed was that, if they have a season, $50 entry-$5 big bass-$5 for the classic-$8 for SPI. ( I dont have the letter in front of me, correct me if I'm wrong)

I very rarely complain about money when it comes to fishing... but yikes! :o

The above post is one of the reasons  the guys who ran the tournaments the in the past decided to move away from SPI.

Exactly.  The former directors are now running their tournaments under the Never Enough Outdoors umbrella.  Better paybacks for sure!
Addicted to fishing.  All the time, any species, anywhere!!  Especially in West Michigan!!!
