I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Hello fellow anglers, if you are on Facebook, would you please like my new GreatLakesIceFishing.com page? I need to get to 25 so I can reserve a short name for the website. Especially if you are an ice angler. You may want to check it out since ice will relentlessly get here and I hope to have ongoing deals and promotions for members of the actual website - www.GreatLakesIceFishing.com Thanks!

For example, I'm having a free giveaway right now to people who sign up on Great Lakes Ice Fishing (GLIF) and activate their membership - under Member Promos. A free Skandia Tungsten Jig to the first 100 new members. (If you were one of the first few that signed up before the promo, just login to your GLIF account and click on the promo form to request a free jig.)

Ok! Thanks! So now how about 50? Do you ice fish at all? I hadn't for a while but I went out the past two winters just a little and remembered how much fun it used to be when I was younger and did a fair amount of ice fishing. I think I'm going to do a little more this winter. Might even drag cameraguy out from his warm house to do a little video maybe?

Thanks to those of you who answered my call to action - the new Facebook page is www.facebook.com/GreatLakesIceFishing! Once again, I appreciate your help and hope to see some of you on the ice fishing forum this winter!

Great Lakes Bass on Facebook is a Facebook Page, not a person so you can't be 'friends' with it so you won't find them on a Friends list - though you can still be friendly!

With Facebook Pages, you 'Like' them (used to be you became a fan). So you can go Like Great Lakes Bass on Facebook!

Lots of people use 'people accounts' for their business or group, especially in the early years, which is not what you're supposed to do on Facebook. As I've found out, people don't always read instructions or follow rules... ;D

Do you mean Great Lake Ice Fishing (GLIF)? No downtime I'm aware of? Everything seems to be running fine. So far a little over 30 people have signed in. A few have posted comments on posts and half or so have completed the form to get their Free Skandia Tungsten Jig! You have to be signed in to your account to fill out the free jig form.

You sign in once on the GLIF website to participate on the forum or comment on posts. Any signed in member can post on the forum - under the Community link.

Your username and password are case-sensitive. You should have received an automated email with your initial temporary password - did you get that? Just go to: http://www.greatlakesicefishing.com/wp-login.php to log in.
