spinnerbait bite

Hi all!! This is somewhat of a late report, but I'm new to the forum. Have read some posts for a couple of weeks and decided to join. A ton of great info and what sounds like some great people in the sport. I appreciate the opportunity to be a part of this community...many thanks!

Anyhow, on the water @ 800, had to make a little jaunt from flinttown, tossed a tube under a favorite bridge of mine on our way out of metro while my buddy was re-spooling his equipment, BAM fish on! 2 lb LM. Buddy was peeed, but that's what he gets for not being prepared. Same bridge 2 casts later, BAM...another 2lb LM. Being the nice guy that I am, I decided not to sit there and embarass him any futher and proceded out to the big H2O. Hit the 400 club first thing. 6-8 fow, tubes and spinnerbait's, 16 in the following 2 hrs, 14 LM all 3-3.5 lbs and 2 sub par SM. Not sure why the SM bite wasn't happening so we took a ride to just south of 9 mile. A couple of hits but no hook-ups. By the time that we got there, the boat traffic and a stiff north wind had us in 3-4fters in no time...better getchyer see legs boutchya. Ran back up to the mouth of the clinton, 3 smallies on tubes for about an hours worth. Everything released unharmed of course. Had to get back home for a graduation party so we called it a day around 1230. I'll be back down soon...can't get enough of those smallies!!

SBB out!

Welcome and thanks for the great report - nice to hear about some good old largemouths being caught.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
