Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

I only had a few  hours this afternoon to get out.  I launched from Harley as I had to hit west marine first - they have a huge 40% off sale if you need anything, but I digress.  I made a milk run around anchor bay with only one keeper sm to show for it - only small perch following the spinnerbait blades mostly.  I decided to ride the no wake and hit the N. channel spots and see what going on up there - water was 65, and picked up a keeper sm, several followers, and a 3+ LM.  then, the Kimmel muskie curse hit - a 15 lber or so on a skirted twintail grub - go figure.  At least it wasn't a luckycraft - lol.  Anyhow, after several hard runs down deep, I got him by the boat for about the 4th time and he broke me off.
oh well -  checked a few more spots to no avail and hit this spot again on the way back.   Guess what, a 60" er took the same type of grub -  damm what a tussle  to get em to the boat - 65 power pro really does the job, but the 12 lb fluoro leader doesn't - broke me off again right by the boat.  Phew - cause how the hell was I gonna get em into the boat anyhow?

well, off tomorrow to check the mile road flats - maybe get a few decent sm this time?
