Got out on the Half Moon chain Saturday for about 4 hours. Caught about  8 or so on home poured stick baits, only 2 of them over 14". Caught a couple dinks on a shallow crank. Caught 2 or 3 on a KaRu Vibra-Spin, including 1 about 17". My best 2 were caught on a jointed swim bait. One was a smallie about 3 lbs. It just hammered the swim bait. The other was a largemouth that had to be close to 4 lbs. It about ripped the rod out of my hands!  I also caught 2 pike on the swim bait.

It was great to get out fishing again, even better to catch a few.

Peace.
It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.

Man!!! I thought you nonchalantly said you caught A 8!!!

Pretty darn good day anyway, right!?!

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I guess my editor didn't see the extra "a" in that sentence! If I would have caught one 8 lbs. that's all I would have mentioned! ;D

Well... if you do catch 'a' 8, make sure and get a picture!
