Hit muskegon lake today for a couple hours with Mikeszr800.  The weather was nice, sun was shining... but the wind!!  Oh man was it windy.  Couldn't fish very effectively no matter where we went or what we threw.  I had 2 bites, 0 hook ups.  I think Mike had 1 bite and no hookup.  It beat working or sitting at home watching snow fall (which is what we usually do this time of year!) but it sure would have been nice to catch a fish.  Any fish.  Any species!  But it just wasn't to be today.

Thanks for the boat ride today Mike!!

Addicted to fishing.  All the time, any species, anywhere!!  Especially in West Michigan!!!

Hey, not a problem. Beats the crap out of sitting home or going by myself. I could have definitely done without the wind. It seemed like every third wave came over the bow when I was trying to use the trolling motor.

I thought about winterizing the boat today, but it looks like Thursday may be nice. Guess I will have to see what happens. No wind, and I'm on the lake. I just can't stomach the thought of putting that boat away. Last year I was done in October.

A few years back, I remember getting in a day on the water the first weekend in Jan.  Looks like this year I will just have to wait for hard water.
