Silver lake July 1st--  Great lake. First time out there. Lots of different stuff to fish. Lost of fish on spinnerbais and crankbaits in red.   Saw schools of fish following the hooked fish.  Most everything came right off the drops.   Ski boats and jer skies came out ond made it a tad busy so we split for our lake and some swimming. Fished the lake early morning to mid day . Lots of ski boats so I'm sure it gets busy.Temps steady at 72.3 -.5

Long lake July 2nd -- Fished all day to see how fish were moving from 5 am to 6 pm.   Smallies were sporadic along dropoffs and feeding flats.  Most fish were 15 inches hanging just under big clumps of weedballs in 12 foot depths.  Spinnerbaits seemd to be the best choices. Talked to a few guys walleye trolling and there was moderate sucess on mid range divers in netural tones along the outsides of 20 foot dropps. Had a rockbass engulf a 1/2 oz spinnerbait that came in at 13 1/2 inces. Temps in the mid to high 70's.

Bellaier lake July 4th -- Started off with lots of 20 inch pike off the deep side of thick weedbeds. Lipless cranks drew the most attention in polished metal tone colors. Headed up the north end for some refuege of ski boats .  Boated a large smallie off a shallow shelf with scattered weed clumps that immedately was takin to Riverside Marina and put on offical scales .  Missed Master angler award by a louzy 3/4 inch and less than half a pound.  A few more bass and even a walleye (he became dinner) came on spinnerbaits, chatterbaits and senkos tossed and moved slow along flats and outside edges of weed beds. Temps were in the low 70's throught.

pics of the one that didnt make the MA cut and the rockbass that prolly would have
