Ovid 6-22 and 23

Fished Ovid morning and evening these 2 days.  The deep bite was tough.  I deep cranked several points and the main river channel and only managed to hook into 1 good fish which popped off my DD-22 before I could get her to the boat.  My partner hooked into a giant carp which broke him off just before that. 

So after discouraging results we started fishing outside weed edges with Senkos.  We got many more bites, but they were small.  There are still plenty of shallow fish to be caught there, but heck if we could find the big ones. 

It is a beautiful lake though, but it's a killer keeping the speed at idle.  All in all a fun weekend.
