Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

My charger mysteriously doesn't work this year. I pulled all of my batteries and the sub floor out of my boat the other day to replace my aerators. I also needed to refill the water in my batteries. When I put everything back together, my charger's indicator lights are all red, which shows that the connections are bad. I pulled all of the batteries back out. I cleaned the terminals, I cleaned all of the wire leads, and I checked all of the fuses. Still no change. This charger is only 3 years old. Is there something I'm missing?  If I don't have it figured out by Monday, I'm ordering a new one, and the old one will fall victim to a bat or something. That's how grown up I am.  ;D

I have a MK charger
And red doesn't mean a bad connection
It's a very low battery

If it were me
I'd pull the batt's  and charge them with a reg. batt charger
And after that, I'd check the voltage of the batt's

There's a point were a MK charger will not charge a batt. (or bring up a batt.)
And it sounds like your batt. or batt's are under that.

Mike S.

That could be. I neglected them all winter. Never once plugged the charger in. They are totally dead. I also filled the water with them dead. I will try that. Thanks.

Cool,

I've had the problem before

most digital chargers require a minimum voltage to even register a battery exists - so that's likely the case. Given you just refilled them too - the standard charger should do the trick or your batteries are shot.

Could always take em in to any auto zone or car parts store and get it checked for free.

I put one of the batteries on my other charger for a few hours today. I just went and plugged the onboard charger in, and it worked. The number 3 battery showed an orange light instead of red. I now have another one charging until I go to bed tonight. Then I will hook the third one up. When I get up for work, I will plug the onboard charger in and be happy. I'm glad I posted this rather than buying another charger.

If you killed your batteries by neglect Ill sell you my one year old set of 3 for next to nothing.  Or if you have a 24 volt trolling motor I have 2 new group 31 batteries Ill give you a good deal on

Mike S.

I'm sure mine are ok. They're all charged up now. I sure hope I didn't kill them. They're only 2 year old Deka 31's. I don't want to buy 3 more of those right now. My starting battery is fine. Thanks for the offer.

Great Post!!!  I had the same issue this weekend.  I read this post and charged the crank battery...now my MK charger is showing the 3rd battery is charging/charged.  Thanks to all for their input.
