I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

With my new boat, I have found myself wiping it off right after I get it on the trailer. I really like that I get  compliments on how nice my new 11 year old boat is. My buddy's father in .law uses silicon free Pledge to wipe his 1980 Cris Craft down with, and it looks new to this day. Do any of you do that?  Also, what do you guys prefer for a good wax?  Just curious, I really want to keep the Skeeter nice for its next owner.

I use Bass Boat Saver most of the time.  I also give it a soap and water bath once in a while too.  If you have yellowing on it at all you will probably have to use an acid based cleaner.

I would say using a towel is the best way to keep it clean. I do a once a year dupont teflon spray wax down. Other than that, keeping it out of the sun and the elements is what makes an older boat look good. IMO.

t-bone

I use BTS (Bow to Stern) spray - works on everything in the boat.

Wiped down with a microfiber cloth and a little spray of dilute vinegar water.  The vinegar is the best for water spots.  A few times a season, I'll wipe with a spray-on wax.  Meguiars and Turtle wax seem pretty good and it's quick and easy.

I use a white vinegar/water solution also.  I mix about 1 or 2" of vinegar to a pint of water.  I spray down the boat, and wipe it down after almost every trip to the lake.  I also use this solution to clean the screens on my electronics.

When I wax it, I use a paste wax that was recommended by the guys at Wonderland Marine.

So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

Waterfoul

Wax it up in the spring.  Bass Boat Saver thru the season.  Takes stains out of carpet too (if you get to them early).  Al and Bob's in GR now carries it.
