Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

I took my daughters fishing yesterday.  I had them in a good spot and they were popping specks and gills at a pretty good pace.  I was getting an occasional bass texas rigging a magnum trick worm but no real good ones.

My oldest had just changed the radio station to a top 40 station (ugh) and was cracking a Twix bar when I got a hit and it was a biggun.  It commenced to jumping all over and making a ruckus.  Both girls were yelling and carrying on.  After I got it in and released it, they both put their UL's away and said almost in unison "I want to catch bass!".

So away went the bait casters and I broke out a spinning rod with an unweighted trick worm.  I took us up into a canal I figured would still have some spawners and got the girls into some fish. I must admit that my youngest needed some help with me helping hold the rod.  Lol

Making memories.  That's what I'm talkin' about.

Now I get to do it with the Grand kids.

Too cool man.  Enjoy every minute of it for as long as you can.

If only more dads would take their kids fishing.......

So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

Thank you for the kind words, fiker.  It's like guiding pressure in a way.  I don't pack many toys for them so I have to put them on fish or else! Haha!

I see I double posted a pic.  Here's the one I missed.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Nice pics. Looks like fun. I feel your pain with the music selection. My girls do that to me on the pontoon boat. I lay on the floor and look under the rails while I'm driving so nobody thinks I'm a sissy because of the music!

It's not working.  We still think you are a sissy.  :-)
Addicted to fishing.  All the time, any species, anywhere!!  Especially in West Michigan!!!

Haha Mike, I hear ya.  There was a boat close by at one point and I don't know if their sideways glances were because of the music, or that we were pulling fish behind them;)

My favorite time spent on the water is time spent on water with my kids!
