I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Sitting in the boat, prepping my rods and tackle for a day trip up north with Mike S for some big smallies!!  New (sharp) hooks, new leaders, filling up my plano boxes, picking which baits to bring, and which rods to take along. Just can't seem to get it down to less than 6 rods even though I'll probably fish the same 2 or 3 all day.  I do want to try a couple new things though... hmmmmm.....  ::)

Anyone else just love sitting in their boat in the garage contemplating 5 and 6 pounders all day long?   ;D ;D

Earlier in the week I was out in my garage sorting my tackle to see what I needed to stock up on for next season. I started pulling line off my reels and started to get my reels ready to be cleaned. I had to stop myself so I would have something to do to pass time during the winter months. I wish I had more time to fish a bit more this year but looks like ill be dreaming of those 5 and 6 lbers for the next six months.

Good luck up north!

I think I'm set.  Just couldn't get it down to 6 rods so I'm bringing 7.  BUT!!  3 of them have baits tied to them I've never tried up there before.  How about a Kustom Kicker Jigs Freak Darter with a KVD Real Gobie super glued to the head... should be a killer bait!  Another one with a Lindy Darter.  I'd say more but the rest is top secret!!

Is it Monday yet?

Waterfoul, is manistee lake considered a drowned river mouth thus outlawing dropshot?

That would be true.  It's too snaggy to drop shot effectively anyway.

Anyone who doesn't love this, might as well just sell their boat and tackle, cause it is the next best thing to actually fishing.

I don't have a real garage. But I have found sitting outside in the open invites a lot more comment and neighborhood involvement anyway.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

It would be a lot cooler if my garage was heated!

Since you're already sitting in your boats, now is a good time to take a backup of all your waypoints and keep them safe.  You could always load them into your GenieLogs account, but bare minimum would be to get a copy of them now.

I'm already packed, no garage sitting involved. Definitely anxious for Monday.

Every winter, I spend dozens upon dozens of hours changing line on reels, changing hooks on lures, orginizing plano boxes, etc.

I check my line guides for broken ceramic and do some light maintenance to my reels.

It is how I survive the winter, fighting off the cabin fever!
