I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Try Heron Lake. Maybe Big Seven. Something different.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I won't be fishing Lake Ovid that's for sure...

Probably going to head over to the Huron River at the Geddes Park launch for the morning bite.  At some point here if I don't get a new boat I'm going to have to buy an outboard for my jon.

FishermanJohn

Hopefully I'll be out Sunday.  I'd like to try someplace new but I'll likely end up going to Orchard which is the closest to me.

Couple oars and a 12V electric motor and you have a fishing machine. I bought a 12V on sale a few years ago so when I rent a boat on a small lake once in a while I can get around still after I'm tired of rowing. Great for places with no boat ramp or no boat ramp I can launch on anyway.

I like new lakes.

I like new lakes too DK. I didn't fish any this year.....so far. Although I did fish the channels of LSC more. My experience there was very limited. Spent way more time up there this year if you can count new water. For me Gun Lake may be that new lake this year at the NBAA One on One Championship. Don't know if I'm going to make it there. Travel soccer rules my life when school starts. I have to fish around that. I don't like to miss games.

Oh I have a 55 trolling motor on it, but no outboard limits me on lake size quite a bit.

I do own a couple inflatable boats. One is a Sevylor that is about 12 feet. I have a transom for it so I can use my transom mount motor guide and I have another inflatable that is 10 feet with a hard floor and a wood transom. I got a 5 horse gas motor and I can put that motor guide on the back. I also have a portable fish finder. It's been years since I used any of them. I do own three small outboards. The two older motors I would be willing to sell if any one is interested. PM me for details.

Having those old inflatables allow me to fish those small pot hole lakes that have big bass in them. Some of those fish have probably never seen a lure. I haven't done that since I bought my current boat. One of these days I'm going to get back in to fishing those pot hole gems. I used to do that with my wife in our younger days. It's a. Lot of work. I guess it's easier to launch a 19 foot bass boat than inflate and set up a boat.....especially at my age.  I get tired fast. I'm afraid halfway through the task I would have to stop and take a nap.   :P

Crystal Lake in Montcalm Co. for the NBAA Div. 28 Championship. Should be interesting since I haven't pre-fished it, and it's been over 20 years since I last fished there.

Looking forward to it!

Well, you're part way there and can still fish quite a few lakes, rivers, streams maybe. Better than nothing.

What's bad about that? You can't make it? Or you don't like to fish there? Fishing different types of water should make you a better angler.

That's the spirit! It's not that big of a lake. Shouldn't take too long to find some green weeds with a few bass in them. Good luck.

P.S. Watch out for loose horses on the way there. Especially along M-57!

"  For me Gun Lake may be that new lake this year at the NBAA One on One Championship.  "   Good luck if you go BD.  Been there twice for one on one championships.   4 days of pre fishing and tournament   5 keeper fish.  Check out the results for the last 2 years.  Half the field didn't weigh a fish.  Not sure why they go back.  Only way I would is if someone had a Gun to my head.

Dan Said it... find weeds, find fish.  Although the tourney I fished there last fall was won off docks.
Addicted to fishing.  All the time, any species, anywhere!!  Especially in West Michigan!!!

Gonna fish Pontiac Lake with Huron Valley Bass.  Should be a good turn-out on a pretty decent lake.
I can't wait!
