Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Due to low water levels on the Great Lakes, particularly Lake St. Clair, the mouth of the channel at the Michigan DNR Clinton River Cutoff ramp needs to be dredged.

Im planning on fishing the channels tomorrow and I heard there is a launch called deckers landing.  I was told that this is a private launch and is at the end of the north channel.  Just wondering is this true and if so is it a decent launch to launch a 20 ft bass boat and how much does it cost.

Thanks,
Bass Ninja

It is decent but costs 10 bucks , a few miles farther up 23 mile is a dnr launch that is real nice . Just before you reach Algonac

That's the Algonac DNR ramp and it is a good ramp.  It's actually called the St. Clair River North Channel Access.  It's in the North Channel just north of the Harsens Island/Walpole ferry.

There's a small MDNR ramp just past Deckers. You launch in the channel behind and then idle out into the North Channel no wake area. Has anyone launched there in a while? I preferred it when I had my small boat and got there early.

Might be a little shallow now with all the low water. I was near there on the water a couple weeks ago and the lot didn't look full like it used to all of the time later in the day. I didn't see the little bathroom shed. Maybe they took that out? I did see some trailers in the parking lot though they mostly looked small.

I prefer the big MDNR ramp in Algonac for my bass boat too since it doesn't take me that long to get anywhere and probably not much longer to get to it from the West since the little MDNR ramp past Deckers is at the end of the road.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I'm planning on going out of there this Sunday, maybe with GotFish?? It depends whether his girlfriend lets him go........or not!!! Anyway, I haven't decided where I am going to fish. Lots and lots of great river fishing so close to the launch.
