I was there a couple of weeks ago.  They had sprayed for weeds and they really didn't need too as they have sprayed there heavily the last two years.  I caught a lot of fish but only one keeper.

Summer in Michigan the Copper Sulfate is in the air  Pure Michigan.   Headed to Wolvarine Saturday after work.  Be interesting to see what shap it is in. They spray it a couple times a year.

A couple of years ago Gary Towns came to our club and explained how through a letter writing campaign we could affect somewhat the permit process on inland lakes.  The whole process is definitely in favor of the riparian rights, but as fishermen we also have rights.  Perhaps getting Gary's replacement to speak at the Novi show this winter would be a good idea.   Then next Spring we could all write letters to the agency that deals with the permit issuing.  Our club president has dealt with them several times and they are most helpful.  Some of our club members have also written letters with positive results.
So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

Now you're talking fiker. You want to address your concerns about aquatic plant killings to the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality. They are in charge of the permit process.

We also found that having a few anglers watching the actual treatments in the past kept the treatment limited to amount and locations allowed in the permits. If no one was watching, once in a while, treatments went beyond approved specifications.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
