This is an aerial photo of my house and property after the tornado went through Dexter on March 15th.  We lost 55 mature spruce trees and another 40 or so of hard wood trees.  My wife was home alone in a house with no basement.  She, the house, garage, and my boat survived with only 1 nick in 1 piece of siding on the garage.  The trees fell in all directions, but away from the house.  Not one shingle came off the buildings.  We are the southern most home to be affected by the tornado.  After reaching  our property it then turned east tearing up the woods and headed into town where much more serious destruction occurred.   You may have seen it on the news.

During the storm God saw fit to place a protective shield around everything important to me.  Most of all my wife.
The devastation around here to homes and trees is beyond belief.
However; not one person in the whole area was injured.

Thanks be to God.

Thanks also goes out to the hundreds of volunteers that have come to help the storm victims.

Most of the debris has been cleared out and hauled away from our property.  Soon we will begin to replant.  Soon life will get back to whatever the new normal is going to be.
One of these days I'll actually have time to think about fishing again.

But every day we will thank God for the bessings he has given us.

So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.
