I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

I purchased a couple of the mesh rod socks that Bass Pro stocks.  I like the price but they seem to rip pretty easy.  Are the other one's you can find online for $7.00 to $10.00 more durable?  Thanks

I run Stick Jackets...They are the best...I am sure there are a few GLB sponsors that cary them...

I've had Rod Gloves for 2 seasons and they all look like new. The tapered tips are great for rod lockers and keep your rod tips from poking out. BTD and Hookerz both have them.

I made my own.  You can go to any electronics specialty store that deals with fine electronics and find them.  They come on a roll and you can cut them to the lengths you need.  It is way cheaper than buying them.  I did notice that depending on the diameter size you purchase depends on how tight the weave of the mesh is.  There are no fancy colors when you buy this kind of material from a specialty electronics store.  It only comes in black.  Doing my own rod protectors was much cheaper and saved me quite a few $$$.

I have a bunch of the Bass Pro Shop ones with the elastic bands. They are only like $2.99 when they go on sale. If you rod is longer than 7' you may have to sew the tip up once a year on a few, but they are great otherwise and very easy to get on and off. Some kind of rod sock is a necessity IMO to keep your rods looking good and protect your guides. I think rod tubes in boats do a lot of bending guides scuffing epoxy and blanks. Always use protection for your rod.
