I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Here is a little secret for all you non-boat driving anglers who are running out of places to fish. I stumbled on this path one summer when all the local hunny holes started to blowup. you know the story, for some reason or another the dude who used to let you fish his bad ass bass pond has to close it down, or the sweet spot you had is now a fishless body of frustration due to some jerks who do not understand the fundamentals of catch and release. OK, back on track. Here's what you do. get an app. like google earth. google earth is free, just google it and a download option will pop up click the download option and boom, you got google earth. Now before we go any farther let me just say that google can be a bit overwhelming, because you will see bodies of water every where that you never knew even existed, but please never mind them, and stay focused. OK, so your on google earth, and your looking around, find all the GOLF COURSES nearand around your area. TADA! you have just found some of the most epic places to catch big bass. I mean it. some golf courses get fished, but most just sit for years and years with out a pole touching the water. this means big bass, usually. I have now gone to three golf courses in my area and all have produced big 3-5 lbs large mouth. One of my buddies who went with me caught a 7 lbs large mouth out of a acre pond. once you have found all the golf courses, all you have to do is be polite and ask if you can fish them. you'll be surprised how far a little bit of mannerisms will take you. Some courses might prefer that you don't fish while golfers are on the course, that's fine, golfers usually get of the green at sun down, which also hapens to be prime time for great fishing. It sounds crazy, but I promise you, you will be pleasantly surprised at the quallity of fish you pull out of your local golf courses.
P.S. I understand that there is a time to pull fish out of ponds, However, if you happen to catch a 7 lbs beast out that little pond, please throw it back. Chances are he's the only one in there.
Happy fishing. ;D

All these years and I still haven't tried that. I remember the old days on the tile ponds where we could see all these big bass in crystal clear water just swimming around looking too smart to catch. One of these days, I'll have to try the golf course approach. I know of few of the members on here are up to that.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I have been fishing these little "pot hole" lakes/ponds for years.  Not so much over the last few but I do know the ones near my home have some big, big largemouth in them.  A lot of them do not get much pressure because golf course management would prefer that you don't fish them when there are golfers in the area.  A lot of the times, the best fishing is early morning or late afternoon into the evening.  The fish also will hit a variety of lures.  Top water fishing can be outstanding on these small waters.  For those of you that don't own boats but have golf courses near your home, take a shot at fishing these gems.
