When is the best time to go to GT for the spawn, early June?

this year? probably early august. 

i've always heard mid-late june is best.

I guide out on GT (Traverse City Bass Guide Service).    We just had a record snow for this time in April, so that was like icing down an already cold drink.   I would expect things to be a lot slower to warm than last year, but probably mid June things should be rocking out on the bay in terms of the spawn.   Hopefully that sun comes out with a vengeance to get things back on schedule.

I have been up to Traverse Bay numerous times.  I have found that the best fishing is from around mid-June through the weekend after July 4th.  This is a great place to fish and there are smallies all over.  Good luck and be safe and most of all............have fun.
