The poorly written, damaging to Michigan Sport Fishing commercial fishing bills have been introduced again. State House Bills 5801 and 5802, introduced by Rep. Dave Prestin and Rep. Jason Morgan, have been assigned to the House Committee on Natural Resources and Tourism.

This is a tale of two lakes. Intertwined lakes, in Barry County, Michigan. Where somehow the water has gone away. Upper and Lower Crooked Lakes, both near and dear to me, are suffering from the lowest water levels I've seen in the 35+ years I've been fishing them.

McMillan Wins Walmart FLW Tour Presented By Evinrude On Lake Okeechobee

Son of local legendary fishing hero wins FLW Tour season opener in record fashion

CLEWISTON, Fla. (Feb. 6, 2011) – Walmart FLW Tour pro Brandon McMillan of Belle Glade, Fla., caught a five-bass limit weighing 25 pounds, 7 ounces Sunday to win $125,000 at the Walmart FLW Tour presented by Evinrude on Lake Okeechobee with a four-day catch of 20 bass weighing 106-10. McMillan's total weight set a new FLW Tour record for heaviest total tournament weight caught.

I would have to imagine that Chad Prough is very disappointed, but it is a pretty good story to have an FLW Tour first-timer win the first event of the year too.

he said he was happy just to make the top 10 against this caliber of fisherman,but when the buzz where's off his bank account might say something different :D
