This is a tale of two lakes. Intertwined lakes, in Barry County, Michigan. Where somehow the water has gone away. Upper and Lower Crooked Lakes, both near and dear to me, are suffering from the lowest water levels I've seen in the 35+ years I've been fishing them.

I've been dreaming and drooling over Bass Boats for quite a while.  I got the nod from the Boss, that when I retire I could get one.  I retire in 14 more days.

Well Friday I signed the papers, and brought home a 2004 Ranger 185 SVS with a 175 Yamaha HDPI.  The boat is all that I've been dreaming of, and then some.

But, if it wasn't for Ralph Blasey at Wonderland Marine, this would not have come about for me.  Ralph has been working with me for months trying to find just the right deal.  Last week he found it.

Let me say, that Ralph and Joel at Wonderland did all they could to make this deal come true for me.  A big thank you to them both.

I would suggest that anyone looking for a boat contact Ralph.  He's first rate.

If I knew how to post pictures, I would.  But alas.......
So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

Awesome!  I know you can't send pics, but what colors is she?

What other goodies?  Jackplate? If you don't have a water pressure gauge, I strongly suggest one; it really helps make sure you don't blow that expensive new motor.

Drive it like ya stole it... ;D

Good for you Rick!  Best of luck with the retirement and the new boat!

Congrats!  A new boat and retirement?  Man, you are living the life now.  I've probably got another 40 years to go.  Hopefully I get a new boat before that!  I thought it was going to happen last year, and Ralph sent me emails of numerous boats that he had, just from reading my posts of looking around at boats.

What's with the news these days on the TV and the radio. Can't find the truth amongst the lies. Some talking head that claims to live their life in a better way, says I have to compromise. But now there's something on the rise. Truth has opened up my eyes. There's no running from your dirty lies. You can't avoid the truth. I'll no longer close my eyes.

Nice!!  Congrats on the new boat!

Take a look at this:

Nice rig! Nice motor! They will last your entire retirement!

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

What a great looking boat! Now get out there and put it to use. Just stay away from Chemung if you want to keep the lower unit. Woodland is good when nobody is there to get used to driving it, that's where I went with mine.

Peace.
It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.

Dope ride Rick.  Congrats.
