Baitcaster Combo

Just joined the forum — been into bass fishing for a while and lately have gotten deep into baitcaster setups specifically (gear ratios, braking systems, tuning to stop backlash, that kind of thing). Looking forward to learning from everyone here and pic

Upper and Lower Crooked Lakes Extreme Low Water

This is a tale of two lakes. Intertwined lakes, in Barry County, Michigan. Where somehow the water has gone away. Upper and Lower Crooked Lakes, both near and dear to me, are suffering from the lowest water levels I've seen in the 35+ years I've been fishing them.

Hope someone knows the lake. I don't, but thanks for signing up.  How about getting all the Beachy's to sign up? The more, the merrier.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Never heard of the lake until about a week ago. My neighbor came over when I was unhooking the boat and told me about it. His family makes a trip up there every spring. He said they caught a lot of big smallmouth 17-19 inches and some nice size pike. I'm also thinking about heading their over memorial weekend hopefully Thurs. or Fri. It's only about an hour north of the cabin. I'll try to talk to him again before then and see if he has any pointers that I can post. 8)
