Can anybody recomend a good repair shop to fix a lower unit on this motor?

McCarter should know, he likes to power load and wrip his lower unit off! lol....smooth

If you are anywhere near the Muskegon area, call Larry at Wildwood Marine.  231-744-2089.  Private business owner, very good at what he does, and reasonably priced as far as I've seen.  I've done a lot of business with him on both of my boats.
