I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

How many people use it?  Whoever is using it has it changed the way you fish or just where you fish?  I'm considering it for this season but I'm torn.  Thanks

You don't really want that new-fangled technology! ::)

Not worth the money.

Really.

I am serious.   ::)

It won't ever help you find offshore rock piles and get dialed into huge schools of smallies.   ;D

I have a 997si and a 998si on my boat - worth every penny!

If you want to know about that, PM Cy.  He has it on his boat.  We used it on White Lake, and I thought it was sweet.  I will definitely look into one when I get my new boat.

I would say that it depends on how you fish. If you beat the bank and fish docks all the time it can come in a little handy seeing up there but where it really shines is offshore structure. On my local lakes there are very few weeds and the fish seem to hang around the rocks coming out off points. The SI allowed me to find exactly where the rocks transition into normal bottom and catch a lot of fish without spending years on the lake figuring it out.
Here's an image of a small rock pile at the end of an underwater point:

Things like that would have taken me forever to find before if I was lucky enough to find it at all.

they are incredible. i could still get by on most inland lakes with out it - but it certainly has its shining moments.
