I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Most of the rods I use for various things are 7ft.  I wanted to try to concentrate a little more on dock fishing this season and was thinking of using a 5'9" rod instead making it easier especially when someone else is in the boat.  Anyone have any feedback on this?  Thanks

TritonTR20

I use a 6ft for skippin. More acurate than a 7ft.

Hooksetter

I use a 6' for docks and pontoons also. Much more accurate.

Peace.
It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.

I use a 6' President Spinning Combo I got on sale at Gander Mountian. Good control and with 10lb XT it works great around wood.

LAPORTE

I used a 6' spinning Powell for around docks. But I have found that I suck just as bad with it as I did with the 7' rod.  So I'm going back to it....  ;D

I use a 6'6" MH spinning rod for dock fishing lighter baits and skippin'.  I will use a 7'3" MH bait caster if I'm pitchin' to them.

6' MH spinning rod and powerpro will skip anything and I get just as many bites as with fluorocarbon and the line doesn't break when they get you around a pole.

LipRip

I used a 6'6" MH st.croix mojo bass casting rod. Works good for me on skippin and accuracy. Does everyone else use spinning gear for skipping?!?

1javelin

custom 6'6" MH spinning, 7' if casting.
