Heading up on the weekend of Labor Day and staying the whole week up in Cedarl, Michigan and would like some help finding a couple of lakes and some good spots on Grand Traverse Bay to fish. Probably will  have 3 times that I can get out during the week and would love to find some great smallmouth action. Any pointers???!!!!!

Ya KVD was staying accross the street from our hotel last weekend. I think we seen stricker motoring out from the west bay launch sunday as well. We gave up on the bay after only three hours of fishing, just to massive to figure out without any direction whatsoever so we fished leelanau all week.
FISH HARD!!!

I was just there for the federation state championship and caugh a ton of bass out there everywhere I found ledges where I could put the boat in 60-80 feet and cast to the break with 1/2 ounce tubes and drag them slowly along. Don't keep them out long though or they may die. Charlevoix produced much, much better for me though and I got one right around 7 in practice, total pig.
