I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Just wondering where most of the members are from, so I tried to divide the state up evenly for this poll.  I-75 to 127 to I-69 South pretty much splits the state in half.  M-55 crosses the entire state right at Houghton lake, and I-69 from Port Huron to Lansing, then I-96 over to Grand rapids makes another nice line.  So tell us where yuo're from with this poll, let's see where the biggest group lies.  If you do "vote" in the other category, please let us know where that might be.  I'd like to know who the farthest away member is.

I actually live on M-55 (north side of the road though), so I will go with Alpena area over Saginaw.  But I am I in the Saginaw area when I get the mail!

On the last forum, there was a member from Singapore - that was the old record although we had a visitor from South Africa at times - that's close. I see readers from Mexico, Israel, Poland, Australia, England, Italy, Germany, Japan, New Zealand and others - I'd have to look at the lists to see again. I used to get a visitor from The Seychelles frequently - some are US military too from various countries.

I am from the tip of the mitt region. I will be moving off the crooked river soon, sadly, and into the Petoskey area.

I think I voted correct.
I'm not Saginaw area, but north of I-69(barely) east of I=75, south of M-55.
That puts me in Lapeer.

I am originally from Hillsdale, MI where there actually is a Long Lake in Hillsdale County going along with one of the other posts. But I now live in Corunna, MI.

I notice that there are plenty of members who do not have their location listed in their profile.  That's cool if you really like the privacy, but you may miss out a chance to meet someone in the area who shares your interests.  I found out that Bulletproof, one of the other members of this forum, lives less than 3 miles from my house!  I would have never known, but now thanks to this board I have a new fishing buddy!  Think about it. . . . .  ::)

Farm town Corunna!! I went to high school and graduated from Owosso High way back in 1980. Worked for the Corunna 'royalty' - the Spaniola's for 3 years. Used to be some huge bass in the old tile pits East of town...

Originally from Detroit, east side. Inner-city born and raised. Graduated from Finney High School. Moved to Lansing in 1985, then to Laingsburg in 1991. I've been here, every since. From the big city to the small town (rural, actually, complete with dirt roads and deer outside my window). You couldn't pay me to go back. I guess I was always a "country boy" at heart.

I'm guessing that he never had to. Call me crazy, but, it was probably a little more obvious in his case (you've never seen me in a "Stetson").
