I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Jeez Dartag..your boss demands a lot of your time.  :) (1 day- 2 months away?) Kidding of course. 21XDC must post pictures of CHATTERFROG in order for said bait to qualify for event.  :o

Well Mike , I was expecting something a little different than what you showed. Would my a-rig with 5 frogs be legal? (3 Ribbits and 2 Plummer superfrogs?) This thing is wild!  ;D

To complicated for me.  I only have 1 Spro Frog.     Bob O must not come here any more.

21XDC

Then use your "Spro Frog" ???.. Why make everybody else use only what you have?  I never understood that.

Negative!  ::)

A frog tournament should allow any lure representing a frog!

I think the last time a couple years ago at Kent most guys used a lot of other things besides Hollow Body Frogs.   Was just trying to revive it since he started it.

21XDC

:)  I don't think Kent is a good slop fishing lake, At least it hasn't been for me. But I might be interested in participating if a ChatterFrog was allowed.  :P

Frank

im probably in.  last time it was soft hollow or not, no buzz, crank, popper etc.  also, itll be 55 and rainy, cuz thats the way it always is

djkimmel

Between always raining on whatever day is picked, and difficulty finding a good frog lake hard to get very many people to show up. Plus, some anglers are fishing lots of tournaments... plus, some anglers don't want to only fish frogs (though if you could come up with a good enough frog lake that could change).

I think it is better to define what's a frog clearly if it is done. Personally, not crazy about the hollow body frogs only idea, but soft baits only, topwater only, things like that can be part of it and still be fun. You really need a GOOD frog lake that enough people can get to. Not sure where that is these days??

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Id be in .... as a boater lol!

As a .... or THE . .... original perpetrator of ?versions of  frog? type lures, Bob O and I came to agree the  purpose of the gathering is to get have us concentrate all day on slop / lily pad - frogs only.  vs just catching fish...

Arrrggghhhh ! Meant I couldn?t use the 5 different versions of frog I planned including most of those y?all posted  above.

What I found hard (besides being rained on lol ) was the first 2 hours, when top water about the weeds and shore line is the ticket. Later, slop bite would get better. So I think we need to agree, or vote, it?s either:

* Surface top water only event, any fish caught more than 6 inches under the surface doesn?t count. Y?all know when you?re fishing subsurface. Spinnerbait is out Frank, sorry bro.

* Hollow body / soft plastics slop fishing  ( rabbits, rage, strike king zoom etc) only

Well, thats Mojos input. I?d love love love to do one of these 2 events with our crew !
Thanks Dan for bringing year round Catch and Release to Michigan
