Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

I'm not trying to rush winter. I'm sure some semblance of winter is on the way. That means we are approaching the 2026 Ultimate Sport Show Tour - the three biggest fishing and outdoor sport shows in Michigan!

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Good thing i get the Senior Discount.   Just the cost of having fun I guess.

My last couple of trips to Erie Metro, I noticed that they already posted the fee increase for next year.  I don't usually go to Kensington or Stoney Creek.  I do launch at Lake St. Clair Metro Park once in awhile.  I don't like the launches at Kensington or Stoney.  I go to Erie because, well, Lake Erie.  Real good launch there.  I'm not quite old enough for the senior discount.............yet.  But I'm getting there.  If they were raising the fees to fix the ramps at Kensington or Stoney Creek I guess I wouldn't mind as much.  The article did say they were going to work on the Stoney Creek ramp.  But how about Kensington??  That ramp needs it badly.  Too shallow to accommodate the bigger fishing boats.  You got a world class bass lake there but a crappy launch.  Doesn't make sense.  But to raise them so that they could add staff they probably really don't need, well I would take another look before although people do need jobs and if they are going to hire good hard working people that will do their job, I'm not going to complain too much about that.  At least they're creating jobs and that's a good thing.  I didn't even go to Kensington this year........or Stoney Creek.  I did go to Erie and St. Clair Metro Parks.  I am a little beside myself on this issue.................... ???  :-\'

I'll just keep using the Harley Ensign or Crockery ramps on St. Clair with my license plate P.

I get the Metro Park pass for Erie Metro. If I didn't go there I wouldn't bother with it. Other than that the P works for me as well.

I buy the Combo pass that includes the Metro Parks and the Oakland County parks all for one price.. Last year I think it was 44 bucks..

I do alot of hiking, Mountain biking, run my dogs, Geocaching, etc etc so the park pass is a bargain for me....

Does the Combo Pass include the Boat for Metro parks

djkimmel

How does the combo pass work - you get both stickers?

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I've always wondered why I pay a milage for the Metro parks and then pay the same sticker fee as the rest of the world.  It seems like there should be a different rate.
I agree wth Bill, The launches and parking at Kensingston are terrible.
If it wasn't for Erie Metro I  probably would not get their sticker at all.
So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.
