I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Just last Thursday I took possession of my new rig, a 2011 Skeeter FX20.  I love it. But, I also want to tell everyone about the person who did all of the work to make it happen for me.

I got a pm one evening from Ralph Blasey, at Wonderland Marine. He asked me what I was looking for, and what I had for trade in. He got me what I wanted for mine, and got me in to the boat I've been wanting since they hit the market....In a matter of less than 5 days!  It was a very easy deal...aside from my being way too anxious. Thank you, Ralph. I would do business with him again in a heartbeat.

Now, I also had to insure this boat. I called Worldwide Marine and got that done in a day as well.  I'm very pleased with the coverage I have, and even more happy with the payment amount.  They are very prompt, and very reasonable. I'll be switching the pontoon boat over to them as well.

I just wanted you all to hear about my experience with 2 of the businesses who sponsor or advertise here on GLB.  I'm a happy guy thanks to them.

Congrats on the new rig!  (and kudos for good service from Ralph and Bob)

If you think Ralph is a great salesman, you should try fishing with him - what an awesome guy!
I fished the BFL with him out of Detroit River this year and what a great guy to spend a day on the water with. I didn't leave the scales with a check, but the knowledge and experience I got from Ralph is priceless.

I've always trusted and liked Ralph Blasey (plus, us redheads have to stick together!!). Ralph is an outstanding and good human being. I'm very glad to hear he was able to help you AND that you gave Ralph the chance to do so. Giving Ralph (734-417-5550) at Wonderland Marine West (www.wonderlandmarinewest.com) a try is all I ever ask. And sometimes it even works out well when you do so! BONUS!

Bob Luellen is the best salesman I've ever met. Not saying I don't know other really good salesmen, Bob is just amazing with people! He is probably the most knowledgeable marine insurance person there is so I'm very glad to have Bob and his Worldwide Marine Underwriters as the 2nd longest supporter of GreatLakesBass.com! Wonderland Marine West being the 1st one I ever had.

I'm VERY glad to hear that you gave each of them a shot Mike S.! I can't tell you how much that means to me. I think as more members and visitors give these companies a chance to earn their business more will find out they are great companies. I cannot keep this website running without their support! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! From the bottom of my heart!

Very glad you got the boat you wanted! That is always a great day! Have fun and catch a bunch!

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I went with Mike to check out the boat at Wonderland before he bought it.  Ralph met us a the door and was a complete jerk... er... I mean extremely helpful and informative!  Sorry Ralph...   ;D  Ralph is FOB here on GLBass.com by the way... if you are ever in the market for a boat (not just bass boats) you owe it to yourself to give him a call.  I've always counted Ralph among my friends and he always has great advice, great information, and a positive attitude.

As for Bob at World Wide... since I started working where I work I haven't had to talk to him (if you want to know why shoot me a message).  But when I owned my Baja Outlaw before my current job, Bob covered it for me and I never had issue with him or World Wide.  He is one of the good guys for sure.

So Mike... when can I drive it?  That thing is going to think I stole it!   ;D  ;D  ;D

I'll be in the market for a boat in the spring. I'll be sure to hit him up to see if we can deal.

You can drive it whenever. Do you want to drive it Monday afternoon?  Or do you want to drive it when we are on Portage?  Your call. I'll move the hot foot 5 feet closer to the seat!

You can't see my smile. Trust me, it was permagrin. I love the boat.
