I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

where do they come up with these prices is their a shortage of bass boats for sale.  The prices on the older ones are sky rocketing in price.  why would anyone consider spending $9000 on a 96. That boat is 18 years old.

Waterfoul

Wow!!  My 97 Triton must be worth that much then!  LOL!!

I'd say he's about $3000 to high.
Addicted to fishing.  All the time, any species, anywhere!!  Especially in West Michigan!!!

Manxfishing

For a 18 year old boat it does look clean
i just don't see to many people laying out that coin for that boat

I don't think there's a shortage of bass boats for sale in Michigan, but after shopping for 12 months and making my first purchase last year, I think there's a shortage of $10k or less bass boats in good condition in Michigan.

If you want something for $10k or less, your selection is going to be limited to old boats. It's amazing how rough of shape some of them are in. Once you hit the $20k mark you have a lot more options.

I bought a 17.5 foot 96 Ranger for $7,500 last year. Yeah, NADA said boat/motor/trailer was worth $1,500 less than that. But, it had been stored inside its whole life, not taken on big water, had low hours on the motor, was maintained with records annually by the same place, carpet/gel coat/seats/trailer were in great shape, and all the little stuff worked. When you looked it over, you knew the guy who owned it actually gave a crap about keeping it nice.

I knew I might be paying a bit of a premium, but I didn't have to leave the state, and I knew I was getting a boat I'd spend more time fishing from than fixing. And, after looking at so many boats, I knew for dang sure I wasn't going to find something like it for any less.

I don't know if this boat is worth $9k, because I haven't been in the market for a while, but in my experience finding a quality boat in the $10k or less range was challenging.

I agree there is a lot of overpriced junk out there. I bought my boat from a owner who took great care of it as well. This boat priced to me is about $8,300 considering the size. I paid $6500 for my 18.5ft 1995 viper with a 200 EFI.

Bloomer

lol, have almost the same boat.

dartag

Not sure about the 50,000 new price.   Guess if a guy could get it cheap enough it would be a good boat.  It will last forever if you take care of it and keep it covered.  We only get to use them 6-7 months of the year if we are lucky.

DennisB.

I don't think he really wants to sell it. Maybe he's just trying to please the wife knowing he'll get to keep it
