This warmer air sure feels nice today but I saw next week high temps will be back between 15-20 degrees. What are your guys thoughts on possibly still having ice on the lakes?? I sure hope not but I have my doubts with the way this winter has been going

bob o

ice out will be late this year for sure, how late  ::) who knows

dartag

There will be pleanty of ice coming down the st clair river but It will be gone for the CR opener.  ( I hope ).  Here is a cool shot from a couple years ago.   There was maybe a 1/4  of the ice on Huron that year.

motocross269

It would be ugly to hit an Iceberg running up the River... :o.........

I was looking at the extended Forecast and it doesn't look good all the way into April...

gmetime24

That's a cool shot of the river!

I was looking at the extended on accuweather, doesn't look good but weathermen have been wrong before. The only thing more depressing than this winter would be hard water for opening weekend. I guess it's time to consider hooking the boat up and driving far south for open water

VinceR

At least as far as Kentucky Lake.  ;D

bob o

"but weathermen have been wrong before"  hahahahahaha yea like 50% of the time. sometimes i would bail on fishing b/c of the forcast and what do ya know it didn't rain at the lake  ::) so i just go fishing now and just get soaked some days

Haha this is so true! Can't really trust those guys. 50% of the time is being generous

djkimmel

0% chance of rain still soaks you if it rains for 3 hours straight...

We will have open water for opening day. That's my forecast.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I thought it must be some type of new watch...

Can you imagine what 'Bi-Polar Vortex' would be like?!? I actually think some of us may be suffering from this... I may start a support group ;D
