Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Things you see at the boat launch

About 6 years ago, we were out on our old speed boat on Spring Lake. We were waiting to get to the ramp to load up, and my buddy and his family were sitting right next to us in their boat. Anyways, this rich guy was backing his brand new 30+ foot Sea Ray deck boat. He puts the boat in and pulls up. Then the automatic bilge pumps kicked on, but weren't keeping up. The boat was sinking, and it had never before been off the trailer.

He comes flying back down the ramp, but can't get the boat all the way on the trailer. He gets it a little over half way on the trailer, and smokes the tires of his new Suburban. He didn't put any of the plugs in. It was quite comical.

Question. If that happened and you forgot the plug and you didn't have time to get it on the trailer would the next best thing be to just take off like crazy? I remember as a kid when we would get in the boat after alot of rain my Grandpa would just hit the gas and pull the plug till the water emptied.

What hours are the best for watching?

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Afternoon and evening is best watching.  Family has been out on the lake all day.  Dad is tired and had a few pops.  Kids are whining they want to go home.

On Lake St Clair I always save a sandwich and a coke for the end of the day....I know it is going to be a madhouse and a good show so after I drop my partner off to go get the truck I sit back and eat my lunch and laugh at all the lunacy....

Like so many things in life, there's nothing you can do about it.  Might as well try to find the humor in it.

Sometimes the most entertaining part of a fishing trip is watching people try to load and unload boats. I live in SW Michigan and we particularly like watching folks from Chicago, they are a hoot! Never know what kind asinine things are going to happen!
