Who out there plays?  And if you play, how do you feel about tournaments?  And if you like them, would you be interested in the '1st Annual GLB Poker Challenge" ?  I want to have something like this at my new house, the PoorBoy Palace, sometime in the near future.  But after all the Holidays acourse.  Maybe sometime in mid January.  If there is enough interest, we can make it happen.

i would like to get a weekly game together for anyone near royal oak, clawson, troy area,,, i am in clawson and play with a couple guys from work, but we need more players.. we play dealer's choice, with a nickle ante,,, big money... $10 will usually last all night.  i offer my poker table and house weekly, usually friday nights, from 6pm until 9pm.  often, i make dinner, like spagetti, so you get dinner out of it too.  i am in for any poker, and let me know if you are interested in my game as well, thanks, derrek

I dont really care what time we start.  I am open to suggestions.  We can start early or late.  Probably the earlier the better tho.  But i will make sure the blinds go up fast enough to keep it moving, but not too fast to break everyone too quick.

Im thinking $50 buy in.  If that is too much, let me know.  Whatever works out best for everyone is what we will go with.  With $50 i am thinking somewhere along the lines of a $700 1st place pot if we can get 30 people together.

I will round up some food, but i think its gonna be BYOB.  Otherwise i might be left with a ton of extra keg beer, and who wants extra keg beer, right?  That will just get me into trouble.

Looks like we have a couple guys already interested.  Anyone else? Oh, also.....for the smokers i offer you my backyard, front porch, and driveway.  I would let you smoke in the house, but i really hate the smell.  No offense.  Your more than welcome to spit chew juice into an empty bottle tho.  That for some reason doesnt bother me.

Lets hear some feedback.  I am free every weekend til the season opens so lets work this out.

Maybe we can have Lt Dan as the guest of honor?  If he would be kind enough to grace us with his presence.

I would be interested in playing a no-limit hold em tournament.  The buy-in you mentioned sounds about right. Where abouts in Michigan would the game be located at?

If the entry fee is too high, let me know.  nothing is set in stone.  $50 was just a suggestion.  It has been pointed out to me that the entry fee may be discouraging some from playing because it is so close after the holiday spending spree.

Let me know.  I would like to get as many people as possible to hang out.

Stackenem and Fishon1219 are coming over just to hang around and mingle.

Just found the thread.  I'd love to play, but right now I can't see myself ponying up the $$.  Any chance on having the entry fee optional as a side pot for those who can afford it?  I'm more in it just for the fun.
