I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Anyone up for fishing on the 28th.  Not the pressure of the Drop Shot Classic last week.  That was intense.  Just fun fishing with no entry fee and anything goes.   The lake is no wake until 11:00 I think.

I'm in
Never fished Middle Straights, But I would like to

bob o

well, i don't think i'll make it on the 28th, but on the 29th there is a 1 vs 1 at middle straights that i want to fish $25 with payback on $20 worth the other $5 goes to Breanne Strange she has a disorder called Distoria, which leaves her unable to care for herself. Her family could really use some help in buying proper equipment to care for her.

dartag

are the details listed somewhere.  I can't make Saturday but could do it sunday.

I'm with ya all

Sat I'll have to work, But could do Sunday
So Bob post a link or some thing

I don't know Breanne Strange
But i've seen that the 5th Annual Frosty Nuts Open/Fishing is donating money for her as well
Nov. 3rd at Kent

$120 (includes $20 Big Bass)
5 fish limit
Single or 2 person team
East Boat Ramp
85% payback (15% of every entry will be donated to Breanne Strange and her family to help with costs fot her care)...
Tackle prizes/apparel prizes/bonus money prizes

This is the 5th year i am hosting this event. The only thing different this time around is I will be using this tournament to raise some money for a great girl and family who could use our help. Most of you ( if not all of you) know Matt and Jeff Fisher. Their cousin Breanne Strange has a disorder called Distoria, which leaves her unable to care for herself. Her family could really use some help in buying proper equipment to care for her.

here is a link to an article, explaining Bre and her familys situation

If we're talking Sunday I'm totally in.  But if it's for that 1 on 1, that probably doesn't allow 2 on a boat does it?

dartag

Thanks for the info Bob   See ya Sunday.....

Manxfishing

Thanx Bob
Never fished a one Fish Tournament but it sounds fun
I'll see you on Sun.

eetz

This sounds like a good cause and a fun short tournament.

I've never fished this lake, do you need any special pass to launch here?

YpsiBass

No special pass required.  If you don't have a trailer though you have to park around the corner at the actual park rather than the launch.

thanks Rick!

YpsiBass

14 anglers showed up.  Big fish was 2lb 11oz smallmouth, Eetz weighed in a 2lb 6oz largemouth and I had a 2lb 3oz largemouth.

The most notable thing about the day was around 9:30, Bob got his frog rod out and it started raining...

Kidding aside, I was in Bob's Basscat and we caught all our fish on topwater.  A couple pike launched clear out of the water for us too.  And one really scary big one decided to eat my buzzbait right at the boat.  I've said it before and I'll say it again: if I have to fish in the rain, I'm glad Bob was the guy in the boat with me.
