Fished Sanford from 8-2:30, sunny sky all day and very light wind. I found that the big ones wanted a slow presentation out on the ledges in 8-12ft. I landed 7 largies with he biggest one at 4.5lbs. My 5 best gave me a 14 lb bag. All the big fish came on a DS setup with Erie darters in mango magic color, my other keeps came on a kustom kicker 2k freak jig. Water temps were 76 degrees in the morning and by the afternoon water had warmed up to 81. Fun day on the water and Sanford proved to me again why it's my favorite place to fish

Did you notice a lot of boats on the lake.  There was a Bass Michigan Series event today up there.  I think one of my buds was there.

Yea there were a good amount of fishermen out there but I didn't think anything of it until a few boats came by and started talking to me. Then they told me about the bass federation event and a couple guys talked my head off. For that event being so big it didn't seem like many guys were pre-fishing it. I know a kid who was in the tourney today and he pulled 14lb 7oz bag for 10th place so there must have been some good bags
