Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

It took a while, but not as long as some people thought thank goodness. We recently busted 1000 registered members and still going...

But the important news is - we had a contest going. Anyone remember?!?

Well bassinman#1 remembers now!!!

Why? Because HE'S A WINNER!!! That's right, bassinman#1 guessed way back on January 27, 2008, 02:44:22 PM in the Contest message board (thread: http://www.greatlakesbass.com/forum/index.php?topic=3595.0) that we'd register our 1000th member on July 21st 2009 at 12:00pm.

The 1000th member registered Date Registered:  July 18, 2009, 10:15:55 PM!!

For guessing the closest to the correct mark by far, bassinman#1 wins a Nature Vision Underwater Camera!!! Congratulations bassinman#1!! Thanks for being a member and thanks for guessing and sticking around to see how it turns out!!

And the lucky 1000th member?!? Well, it just happens to be mikeszr800! For joining GreatLakesBass.com and being lucky number 1000, mikeszr800 wins a handheld Lowrance GPS iFinder GO2 to keep him finding his way on the lake or in the woods!!! Congratulations mikeszr800!!

Thanks everyone for being a member on GreatLakesBass.com, and to all those who gave this contest a try. I hope the next 1000 goes faster. I know many of you help with that a great deal and I do appreciate it. Maybe we'll have another contest for that one?

Your support, and very importantly, the support of the companies that choose to support GreatLakesBass.com, are critical to continued growth and improvements. Please consider and support them whenever you can. Thanks!
