Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Just before the October Natural Resources Committee meeting on Thursday, October 9, Commissioner John Walters added an amendment to Fisheries Order 206 – “Bass - Closed bass CIR season from May 1 – Friday before the third Saturday in June for Burt, Mullet, Crooked, Pickerel, and Black Lakes and their connecting waters.”

I'm not a hunter. I can't sit still or be quiet enough to do it. Heck, with all the chaos in my house everyday, I can't really handle quiet. That's why I fish.

Anyways, I love to see pics from others' successes in the woods. It's nice to share other people's victories. So, let's see what you shot guys.

I haven't seen anything to shoot yet. Watched a bunch of deer, but I'm getting old and fussy. Just enjoy being out and watching the saga unfold. The guys I hunt with have a 3,000 acre parcel and they have been getting some nice deer. I get to be there to recover the animal and take the pics. Here are a few.

Nice pic's. We had coyote problems this year, not to mention that a group of partridge hunters. That  came through the weekend just before opening day.Turned our spot, into after hours night club for deer.
