Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Man, it seems that everywhere I turn, I come upon bad news.  Monday I find out that my godfather is having complications from exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam, then I get on GLB to find that Wags has passed.  Today, while at work, a good buddy of mine shows me a text from his wife telling him she wants a divorce.

Well, due to my godfather's illness, I am heading to Anacoco, LA. to see him for what could sadly be the last time.  Luckily, he loves fishing!  My family, and my parents are heading down on the 26th for a week.  The plan is: fish, fish, fish, fish, eat, and fish.  Vernon lake is home to me.  It's where I was born and spent a good portion of my life.  I am excited that I get to take my wife and children to my home town, being as they all share the same one, right here in Muskegon.

After Vernon lake, it's off to Toledo Bend for a day of hog catching.  Then, to the Sabine River, which runs from the dam on Toledo Bend.  Can you say stripers!!!?  Yes sir, big ones from the bank!  Can't wait.  Will definitely have lots of pics when I get back. ;D

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Isn't wonderful that we have a passion that gives us so much peace during these times. I was in Florida recently and was able to sit on a dock and fish. It took me away from all the concerns and cares for a little while.

Nothing like floating around for a while to figure some stuff out. Best of luck to your Godfather.

Thanks for the wishes of luck.  It will really be nice to be out on the boat with my dad, my godfather, and my son.  Will be a good time to share old memories with each other, while making new ones with my son.  I just wish that the trip wasn't brought on by such a bum deal.  But, we are definitely going to make the best of it.

That falls under the 'important things of life' category.

Sorry to hear about the main reason for the trip Mike, but glad to hear you are going to make the very best of the trip.  Have fun and safe travels.  I'm looking forward to seeing the pics.  Jeff

Thanks Jeff.  I am so excited about this trip.  Only bad part is that I had to cancel my July vacation.  That means I might have to be sick one day to come up and fish Hamlin with you.  Funny how a guy can get sick at a moment's notice.  Let me know, and I will get sick in a hurry!
