I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

I am getting ready to purchase a KVD Red Tour Crankbait rod.  I will be mainly using it for shallow cranks like the 1.5, red eyes, and swim baits.  I will be putting the Shimano Citaca reel on it.  My question is what length would you get.  I use 7ft rods for almost everything i do.  I was thinking about going with the 7'4" but my buddy owns 2 of them for similar baits and says he would only go with the 7'10".  So what would you guys buy 7'4 or 7'10?

P.S.  Sorry about the spelling

If you're throwing smaller cranks on it like the 1.5 you would want a shorter rod because it's probably going to be putting in work around cover, hence accurate. If you're throwing traps you would probably be in bigger expanses of water, hence a longer rod. If you're trying to do both I would consider a 7' to 7'4" rod at most. Just my opinion.

7' glass rod. if you want straight eyes, i would look elsewhere than the kvd rod unless you buy it in person.

Whatever..... I have bought 5 KVD rods and have never had a problem with the eyes, but I would also buy a different rod. I know longer own a KVD rod. "Fish Glass or kiss my ***" (thedudes new saying)

However if that is what you want I would by the 7' rod. 7'4" is a good all around cranking rod, and the 7'10" is for open water only. If you plan on only fish small cranks with it get the 7'. If you want to fish all cranks with it get the 7'4".
