Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Went out of Muzurick ramp on Saturday, fished the west side of Kelley's in front of the airport. The water visibility was about three foot, which i guess is not that good. Started in 15 fow then worked up to five fow. Threw tubes, drop shots, cranks, jerkbaits, and shaky heads. NOTHING!. Ended up heading to East Harbor, fished around the docks and got a few largemouths. Then got a tip to fish the lilly pads and caught about 40 within 3 hours. Ended up being a great day in East Harbor, best bass came on a Jann's Netcraft Dominator Sweet Craw, blue and black, flipped into the heavy stuff with a heavy screw lock bullet weight and a spinnerbait that i make, 3/8 oz tandem with a white and gold flake skirt.

Went out Sunday to just head straight to East00000r. Talked to some guys that were going to hit the same places we were the day before. Gave them my number to call me if they were catching smallmouth. I never got a call and ended up seeing them in East Harbor. (I think we made the right call) Caught 15-20 keepers around the lillys on Sunday. Tequila sunrise power worm worked well later in the day after the spinnerbait bite. Hopefully the water clears up in the next few weeks and the smallmouth bite is on around the islands.
