Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

I have a All American Pro Series rod that I need to send in for repair.  What is the best way to ship the rod back for Warranty work.

2 of the eyes have broken off.

Thanks.

djkimmel

If an All American or XLH70 fishing rod is broken in any way, fishing or otherwise, ship that rod to Grandt Industries along with a letter of explanation. Include your name, address, and phone number along with a check for $25.00 per rod, for warranty processing. Grandt Industries will then repair or replace your fishing rod and return it to you as soon as possible.

Warranty Shipping address:

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Go to Home Depot or Lowes and buy the thin wall 4" PVC pipe. Cut to length, wrap the rod in newspaper, place inside, duct tape each end.

Home Depot would be the better choice lol. Or, if you live anywhere near Flint, I'd give you the pipe.

I would ask myself is it cheaper to have that rod repaired locally since its two eyes that need to be replaced and will cost you $50 after its all said and done to be fixed sending to Grandt. Going to cost you about $25 to ship (PVC and shipping) plus $25 to Grandt so how much would it cost to have two eyes fixed at a local shop?
FISH HARD!!!

Are the guide frames broken off the rod or are the inserts missing?

There are some local people who fix rods like that. You still have the expense and time to get it to one of them if you don't live near someone.

insted of buying a rod tube....you could head to your local gander mtn and check to see if we have any extra cardboard tubes from the manufacture (which we always do) and im sure they will give it to you for free.

if you stop into the grandville store i will hook you up!

whats the big deal.  so your missing 2 guides.  you still have like 8 left on there ;D

djmaclf

Both eyes are busted off the rod.

McCarter, I was using it with 1 of the eye's busted off.  The 2nd one busted during my last tournament.

MadWags

If you can wait till one of the shows, you can just bring it in the show and exchange it.

That's the kinda answer I was looking for!

So Dave, have you got a tip for a 009 Golden Supreme...?

This topic got me thinking. There are many things at my work that are shipped to us in heavy cardboard tubes. I grabbed a couple real long ones last night. They can be cut to fit lengthwise. If anyone needs to ship a rod, let me know. No charge.

Guess i will be able to report on Powell replacement.  Broke the tip off about 4 inches down  on my jig rod tuesday night.  Set the hook heard a snap,  got the fish in then cried a little.   Glad i have a spare rod.
