Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

i dont know why they keep goin back to chesapeke bay.  its incredibly tough, and can be dangerous to fish.  a lot of guys do serious damage to there boat, get stuck and have to wait for the tide to come back in, you cant even run around with a full tank of gas out there and have to leave a lot of gear behind to lighten the load.  i think they would get higher turnouts fishing elsewhere.

Interesting points. I wonder why they do go back? Local support?

I know that Local support has alot to do with where most big tournaments are fished....I am pretty sure that is why alot of the Elite series and FLW events have kind of shunned us up here...They do a pretty good job at filling the field but don't get a large local fan base turnout...

Eric

Local support indeed.  Translation is that they host tournaments in whatever locality will give them the most money to do so.  And most always, multi-year contracts.

All we need to do is:
1) shorten winter a little
2) get communities to create slightly better ramp facilities where needed
3) have them willing to pay some and provide some in-kind services
4) have a longer bass season where tournaments can be held

And we would be a tournament mecca!!
