This is a tale of two lakes. Intertwined lakes, in Barry County, Michigan. Where somehow the water has gone away. Upper and Lower Crooked Lakes, both near and dear to me, are suffering from the lowest water levels I've seen in the 35+ years I've been fishing them.

I got the boat back at 9 Friday morning, took it straight to the lake to check it all out.  Ran good, gotta break it in still so have several more hours of the switching speeds thing to do, but it ran great while we had it running.  Would have been nice to have two good trolling motor batteries though.  One is apparently fried because with both hooked up I was only getting a whining noise from the foot pedal, so disconnected the old one and ran on half power.  Too bad noone told the fish I was back in action. :-\'
Anyone looking to buy a 2000 Javelin with a complete rebuild on a Johnson 200?? :o

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Hey... I'm happy for him too! Living in the Great Lakes state without a boat should probably be illegal or a cause for a mental health check. (Along with staying up too late talking fish stories after a long day of fishing too!  ::) )

(Actually... I probably shouldn't pick on a fellow red head since we are slowly going extinct.)
