Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Hey guys.  I'm about to head up north for ten days and will be staying at a little lake near Onekama.  I have fished Portage Lake a lot in the past so this summer I want to branch out and fish some different lakes that are a little less pressured.  This spring while up there, we hit Arcadia Lake and Lower Herring and did well on both, but the smallies were bedding so it was quite easy.  Lower Herring looked like a really nice lake and I would love to give it a shot this week.  I was wondering if anybody had any experiance fishing these lakes and would be willing to send a few tips my way.  Thanks in advance.

Ryan,
I have fished both Upper and Lower Herring in the past. Upper Herring is a great numbers lake. They both have largemouths and smallmouths, along with some walleyes.I did well last Labor and Memorial weekends with wacky rigged four inch senkos using the yamamoto wacky jig. Tubes in smoke/purple work well on Lower Herring also.

The Tear Drop Tournament Trail has a tournament on Portage this Sunday. Weigh-in is at 2:30 pm.

By the way Ed, hi!  Are you officially retired? I'm thinking of going down to Table Rock in October and ride as an observer in the P.A.A. Tournament. How long of a drive is it?

Thanks for the tips guys.  It sounds like wacky rigs are a hot setup on these lakes.  I appreciate the advice since I will only have a couple hours on these lakes.  We will be heading to Lower Herring tomorrow and Upper later in the week.
