After 2 weeks of long days at work, I am in the Korean Air lounge in the Incheon airport getting ready to head home from South Korea.  It has been a pretty good trip, but the highlight was getting in some bass fishing on Saturday!  Here in Korea there is a pro bass tour (KSA) and the sport is really growing.  Many years ago, northern strain largemouth were introduced and they are doing very well here.

Saturday morning I took the first train out of Seoul Station to Pyeongtaek.  My friend Pete picked me up at the train station a few minutes after 7 AM.  We went to his house and picked up his boat and headed to the river.

I quickly found out bass in Korea like Senkos also!  Caught about 12 for the day - no giants - but had a fanstatic time.

Met a few of the KSA pros and some of the really good local sticks!  One of them even tried to talk me into taking his boat (alone) the next day for an open Tx!!!  I didn't bring any luggage with me that morning and the first train the next morning would not get me there in time, so I declined.  Next time I will for sure!!

Pete even let me run the t/m!!   We caught 4 in a row and one of the other guys took this pic.  ;D

Typical Pyeongtaek River fish:

Don't EVER let anyone say we don't get around!!! South Korea, Taiwan, China, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, France, South Africa, Singapore, Spain and more!!

Thank you very much for sharing a cool story with us. I did not know South Korea had a pro bass organization. I will have to look into domain names maybe?? ;D

I was recently told about some of the French fishing and bass fishing organizations.

If you go back and win a tournament that would make for a very interesting fishing story!

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Cool deal Seth.  The furthest I've gone out of the States to catch bass is Canada.  :D
