the badin lake water temp was 70 degrees this morning. wind out of the south at 10-15mph..we are in the middle of the anual tree pollen dusting, and at the start of the spawn. i found several big females up on the bed.none would not bite fer crap. but the buck bass were all fired up..

kinda of suprised to see this large of a buck bass, however he was on a bed with an 8+ pound female..

not sure about this one, he/she come out of a big gob of pollen in the edge of the grass..i could not locate the bed..

nasty sludge there.  we get some algea blooms up here that can get bad at times, but the worst thing we have to deal with is the darn cottonwood trees.

8 lbers on beds?  where do i sign up?

Thanks for the report, Zook.

Water temp 70! My water temp today was 38 and air was 59. I'm jealous.

i said 8+. i am sure she was under 9 but over 8 pounds...
i have one that beds in a tractor tire every year. i have tried 5 years in a row to catch her.she normally has a 3ish pound buck bass with her. she would go 11+ easy...

i did catch a 9.4 pounder in july last year-from a differant lake...
