Bedding Bass

Went up north, north of Baldwin, to my cabin and on Saturday walked out on the dock and had a largemouth on a bed. Fanned gravel and was chasing other fish away. Spring is here! Naw, we're in Michigan so winter may be back tomorrow, but summer is coming and I hope it gets here before $3.50/gal.  gas.

Walked across the road this AM to look at the lake and found 2 new beds started and about a 5lb bass swimming back and forth in front of the dock.

I caught bedding fish in a tourney this weekend; they were locked in. All males though.

I spent a few hours on Lake Maxinkuckee yesterday and found over 100 beds in the channels. All largemouth, and they were locked on. I couldn't hardly believe my eyes. I have the best self control, I didn't fish for them... I have a tourney there Sunday. If I can get in those channels before most others, I will have a gooooood time!

I went for a little boat ride yesterday.  The water in protected areas was over 60 degrees!  The fish have gone to the bank!  I did not fish, but the fish were very visable.  The dark brown steel sea walls hold a lot of heat!  Please leave a few for me, I have to work until 3:00 PM.
