Inland Waterway Bass Fishing Closure Defeated

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Just before the October Natural Resources Committee meeting on Thursday, October 9, Commissioner John Walters added an amendment to Fisheries Order 206 – “Bass - Closed bass CIR season from May 1 – Friday before the third Saturday in June for Burt, Mullet, Crooked, Pickerel, and Black Lakes and their connecting waters.”

Manxfishing must be one of those contest experts who enters every contest just to see if something can be won.  Well this time you have set your self up for success my friend and have the dubious distinction of taking a minuscule piece of information and turning it a big win!  A free GLB T-shirt.

I know it hurts to lose Basskiller46 because your answer was more complete but it can't hurt as much as it does the turkeys.  If you are really curious about what they taste like just ask cameraguy because his is above all, a survivor.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I kind of envisioned getting a pair of testicles to eat. In reality I ate a whole flock. Probably  16 of the bad boys in a cup.  :o  Splashed them with Red Hot and chewed. ;) When I got home I ate Smoked Oysters, Sardines and Limburger Cheese. MMMMMMMMMM
