I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

I use Flouro and mono primarily. Sometimes braid, when would i use copolymer? Am I missing out on anything?

Manxfishing

I use it as a all around line myself
It has less strech (so better feel) then mono and it's a small dia. pound for pound.
All the spinning rods are spooled in it and half the bait casters
Plus it's priced just a little above then mono

kyle boe

what are its advantages on flourocarbon? Because that is my main line for everything except for one baitcaster with mono

Manxfishing

The advantages would be it's harder to see, it's abrasion resistance and has less strech then a copolymer.
And it depending on what your throwing on it
The line sinks were as a copolymer or mono will float.

The disadvantages would be
It's to stiff, the knots slip and it costs to much

I can see the advantages for drop shotting or deep jig fishing
Other then that, I myself throw a copolymer.
I like the McCoy mean green in #10

HellaBass

I pretty much only use mono for Shallow cranks and spinnerbaits when i really want my bait to ride high and deflect off cover and grass

thedude

i don't use mono for anything any more. try some p-line premium or gamma copolymer in your favorite pound test and you will see its WAY stronger than typical mono. 12lb Gamma is practically indestructible. I wouldn't recommend it for spinning gear though. i use 8lb p-line for that.

I read last week that Gamma is getting OUT of the line business.  That's why none of the pro's are sporting Gamma threads this season.  Gamma's bread and butter has always been tennis racket strings and they are going to grow that business.
